How-To do Monkey Stunts!:

How To Wall Mount!

I love to wall mount, it's my favourite move probably and Jackie Chan does them too which makes them instantly amazing. Start off running towards the wall. You’re going to kick off the wall to start with to gain more height, but a cool variation is to jump at a wall that’s at a right angle to the one you want to climb.

Now leap at the wall with your weaker foot, make sure you do or you'll just run straight into the wall, which would be funny but painful. You’re actually kind of running up the wall here and you can take up to two steps. Actually I can take up to two steps; if you can do more be my guest but don’t blame me when your face is broken.

Now spring off and up, stretching up as far as you can, you need only grab it with your fingers. If the wall is really high you’ll have to grab with just one hand.

Currently you're hanging from a wall, an unpleasant feeling, so try to bring both your legs up. They should be squatting against the wall ready to launch...

And launch! This bit is basically just like a vault – spring off your feet for the power, and as soon as you have one leg over you're in there. Think of the wall as a beautiful woman.

Here's a pic of a proper decent mount. Look how high that wall is! I am king of mounting!

How to hurdle things that are Proper High!

Okay this is another of my favourite moves. I’m not great at the gymnastic stuff but I’m pretty not bad at this. In the below picture I leapt straight over that with no aid and landed on my feet.

Notice my left leg is up in the air and my right leg is tucked underneath. Hurdling something is fifty percent how high you can jump and fifty percent how much you can tuck up.

Actually scrap that because it’s about 90% guts. You’ve just go to go for it and trust in your own ability. So get a good run up and make sure your footing is right – try not to over think this part. When you reach it spring up with your good foot and swing up the other one. And tuck. And pray. Good luck.

How to Wall flip!

It looks hard and scary; but it's not. It's a piece. Of. Piss. So go try it you wussy!

One step is easiest so run towards a wall and plant your good foot on it pretty high. (About neck height).

Lean back then launch off your foot, pushing up and away. Your foot does all the work really.

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

And land, dammit you're cool and you know it. (Only if you can do it. Otherwise you're just average or lame.)

A good way to learn is by getting someone to throw your leg over. Gets you unafraid.

If you still can’t overcome the fear, have a friend promise to hit you in the eyes with a spiky club every time you don’t do it. Hopefully that should outweigh the fear of landing on your neck. Besides, it doesn’t hurt that bad anyway - trust me!

How to Walk on your hands!

Walking on your hands is not as hard as it may at first seem, and is one of my favourite little party tricks.

Obviously it requires a certain amount of strength, but balance is more key. First launch yourself into a handstand position and then tip yourself slightly forwards so that you'd land on your back if you fell, (don't worry, that doesn't hurt... too much), now that you are falling forwards put one of your hands forwards to stop you falling.

This will obviously prevent you from falling. Repeat this movement and you should find yourself moving steadily forwards on your hands!

How to Back Flip!

Okay, now it's time to learn the back flip, very much like the front flip, but backwards. Without these sorts of tips from friends and websites I would never have pulled it off myself, so I feel it's my duty to share them with you. Here I am looking straight forwards, NOT DOWN OR UP, forwards.
Make sure you do too. Pretend you're a mime and sit in an imaginary chair, then GOOO! Look forwards!

Swing the hands up as high as you can and look back as soon as your arms
go behind your head. Not before. Notice I said high as you can, don't bother
jumping backwards at all.

Bring your knees up fast! This is the most crucial part of the move and
if you don't do it you'll break your neck! This move is also called a back
tuck I believe, hence the tucking. Bring your knees up to your chest and grab
them with your arms.

Just let your self rotate in the air and watch as the world spins round...

Now remember to untuck, fun as it is you can't stay like that or your
landing will be screwed and you may die. It should happen naturally really, you don't need to think about it.

Yes!! That photo is my first ever backflip landing! Go do it yourself!
It's easier than front flip, you just need guts and/or a crash mat and friend!
I highly recommend the friend idea, they're useful for other things too!

How To Kipup!

From lying on the floor, roll back, go as far back as you can as though you are going to do a backwards roll.

Now, from this rolling back position, try to kick forwards and spring off your hands.

That's the mistake most people make, do not try to kick up, instead kick forwards with a little up. It is your hands that should thrust you up.

Now tuck your legs under to make sure you land it.

If you have done it correctly there should be a point where no part of your body touches the ground. Other wise you just... stood up, which isn’t really that good.
